  • Experience: James Ganion is a litigation and transactional lawyer with recognized experience in the areas of insurance defense as well as business litigation. He practices in California and also in Arizona. With extensive practical knowledge of building design and construction and over 20 years of field experience, James handles all aspects of construction and real estate disputes, including complex litigation, site accidents, toxic torts, mechanic’s lien actions, subrogation, trials, arbitrations, mediations and homeowner disputes. His transactional practice includes evaluation of insurance policies and programs, warranty/customer service practices and preparation and negotiation of all manner of contracts.
  • Background: James joined the firm in 1997 and has been a partner since 2003. Before his legal career, James worked for two large residential and commercial developers in Washington state, where he gained first-hand knowledge, initially in the field, and then within the office, of construction and development operations, trades, liability and industry context.
  • Community & Interests: In addition to involvement with his children’s sports teams, James offers pro bono legal help to various minority business owners. He is a regular supporter of various cancer related organizations and has also been involved in the Orange County Constitutional Rights Foundation’s Mock Trial and Peer Court programs for youth. James has also served as a Board of Director on three separate homeowners associations, including a term as President. A past member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, James continues to enjoy skiing, as well as swimming and fly fishing.
